Ukraine and Russia: The International Trade Fair of Hygiene and Pest Control EuroHiPeCo 2007 proved to be very successful.
Fair events
If there were no EuroHiPeCo Fair ...
it should be invented as soon as possible – it is the first impression of this year's edition of the event.
It has become a platform for interesting meetings between representatives of companies caring for hygiene,
dealing with pest control and representatives of food industry,
scientists and state food inspection.

President of PFPZ after the fair.
„A problem of safety in international food trade” conference
Both fair and accompanying conference ‘A problem of safety in international food trade’ proved to be successful.
Participants of the highest rank were Eric Poudelet,
Director-General for Health and Consumer Protection (European Commission) and Grigorij Iwanow,
Chief Veterinary Doctor of Ukraine.
The following persons took part in the conference: Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski,
Deputy Minister of Agriculture; Andrzej Babuchowski,
Minister – Counsellor of Agriculture and Fisheries Section of Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the European Union in Brussels; prof.
Tomasz Borecki,
Rector of Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW); Jerzy Chróścikowski,
Chairman of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Committee of the Senate of the Republic of Poland; Tadeusz Jakubowski,
President of Polish National Veterinary Chamber; Ewa Lech,
Chief Veterinary Doctor and Monika Rzepecka,
Chief Agricultural and Food Quality Inspector ; Małgorzata Skonieczna,
President of Polish Federation of Food Industry.
Apart from speeches a press conference took place.
Questions asked by journalists from Poland,
Russia and Ukraine were about trade between food markets of European Union,
Poland and Russia,
as well as sanitary standards assuring food safety.
The questions were responded by Eric Poudelet,
Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski and Ewa Lech.
Media patronage
EuroHiPeCo was an event noticed by European media.

Gala of Food Quality Leaders was hosted by Krzysztof Karman,
manager of TVP agricultural programmes department.
The event was held under patronage of the most important bi-monthly in the branch - „Higiena & Pest Control”,
periodicals dealing with food subjects: „Bezpieczeństwo i Higiena Żywności”,
„Menu Smakosza”,
„Gospodarka Mięsna”,
„Mięso”,
„Nowości Gastronomiczne” and media raising hygiene problems: „Przegląd Komunalny”,„Forum Czystości”,
as well as tidiness portal „Infoclean” and „Mazowiecki Serwis Gospodarczy”.
Gala of Fourth Edition of Food Quality Leaders Programme
Gala of Fourth Edition of Food Quality Leaders Programme was also held during the fair.
Leaders' statuettes confirming that awarded companies are the best food producers in their branch were given to: Grupa ANIMEXSA – Szczecin Branch,
Zakłady Mięsne Mokobody,
Trec Nutrition,
Zakłady Mięsne VIOLA and Rzeźnictwo Firma Słomiński.
Decisions on awarding prizes were made by Emblem Chapter after analysis of audits outcomes.
Honourable prizes were awarded as well.
They were given to: Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski,
Deputy Minister of Agriculture for construction of the first Polish efficient system of promoting Polish food,
Prof.
Ph.D.
Sc.D.
Tomasz Borecki – Rector of Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) for taking the university to the forefront of the world life sciences universities and Małgorzata Skonieczna,
President of Polish Federation of Food Industry in recognition of her contribution to European food safety standards creation.
Laurels of honourable prizes were awarded by editorial staff of 'Bezpieczeństwo i Higiena żywności' monthly.
Awards at EuroHiPeCo 2007 Fair
A special fair event was 'Presentation of Regional Products' organised in
co-operation with Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
During the presentation editorial staff of 'Higiena i Pest Control' bi-monthly awarded prizes for 'Hits of the 2007/2008 season' – the best cleaning machines and devices.
They were given to the following companies: Karcher,
Dry-Pol,
JohnsonDiversey Polska.
Fair contest for the best company promotion was won by Cid Lines IHS company,
jurors awarded also distinctions,
which were given to Best Pest and Kwazar companies.
The next edition
We accomplished a great success,
we collected experience in order to make the next edition of the fair better – says Tadeusz Wojciechowski,
President of The Polish Pest Control Federation (PFPC),
organiser of the event.
After analyses and consulting the exhibitors (both present at EuroHiPeCo 2007 and those potential) organisers shifted time of the next fair edition from November to June.
EuroHiPeCo 2008 fair will therefore take place on the 4th and 5th July,
2008.
